I can picture that, Marianne. I think with me it’s a sort of excited but still Zen thing. I lose track of time, and everything feels warm, and there is so much possibility in the distance… like whole words opened up before me.

Oh, it’s not really a happy place — more like the landscape of my brain. I may be sitting in my subway car or on my couch but inside I’m perched on the edge of an enormous vista, in deep contemplation.

That’s a great picture, Diana. Definitely can see why that’s a “happy place.” Nice to have memories like that to return to when you need to contemplate, escape or just while away the time. I usually go to Miami Beach, watching the cruise ships head out to sea…or to Paris to the top of Notre Dame where I could see the entire city from Sacre Coure to La Defense.
