Yes, totally an author's decision about a character's hairstyle. :) I learned how the cover is supposed to catch the essence of the story with Graffiti Girl. With Touch, I didn't have a scene with my character's hair that contributed to characterization or a really cool scene so it was fine to grow her hair out and it made me feel better. Yes, totally an author’s decision about a character’s hairstyle. :) I learned how the cover is supposed to catch the essence of the story with Graffiti Girl. But I'm with you. While I'd change a minor physical detail to make it fit a cover, I wouldn't change my story or character to fit a cover.
