that’s awesome–couldn’t be more perfect!

Poe is in the Lizzy?! Lurking and sarcasm are generally frowned on there. I’d much sooner expect to see Amy as a member than Jamie. But maybe he *does* have hidden depths, after all.

I pictured him looking a little more like David Boreanaz. That’s the voice that I hear when I read the books. And especially when I read the secret stories told from Jamie’s POV.

PR: Whatever works for you! Poe, however, is built very differently, in both face and body type. He’s slim, he’s pale (Boreanaz wasn’t even pale when he played a vampire), he’s got very pointed features (remember, the first thing we see of him is jaw bones and cheekbones) and he’s got very, very dark hair without blonde California-boy streaks.
Shannon: Yep.

honestly i have no idea how i saw him in my mind… maybe a mix between Snape and Sirius…
there’s something in DB that reminds me of poe… but maybe its just more Angel’s personality more then David himself…
but i love that heis specialty includes “lurking” handy skil for an (alleged) digger!
but the best is “upstart Lit Majors who don’t know what’s good for them” i mean who can that possibly mean????
oh Poe i love him so!

Did you purposely make it so Amy and Jamie’s favorite songs are by The Postal Service or was that just a happy coincidence?

I was going to ask a question, but I see Virgina already asked, but I’m still curious as well. I thought it was amusing how they both has Postal Service songs.

Dare I ask where Jamie got his middle name?

Virginia and Taylor: You are very observant. What do you think?
dulce: the very same.
Lizzy: Well, the same place most people get their names. Their parents. Jamie’s name was actually a compromise, and there are hints to that in this dossier as well as in details from Poe’s life story.

Love it, especially the specialties and the favourite movie – good pick there Jamie
I like the picture but I always imagine Peter from Heroes as Jamie now.

I’ve avoided reading Steinbeck since a disastrous experience with The Pearl years ago…not the best idea for someone in grad school for modernist lit. But on your recommendation, I picked up East of Eden yesterday, and am so in love with it. Thanks!

I had the same reaction everyone else did to his middle name. For some reason, I was thinking it would be Montgomery.

Alexa, that’s pretty good. Especially the hair.
Jessie, I don’t touch Steinbeck with a ten foot pole, myself. He’s kinda obsessed with killing small fuzzy animals in his books. I read THE RED PONY and then GRAPES OF WRATH in short order in high school, and have been on an embargo ever since. But people I trust tell me EoE is awesome and I should get over myself.
PR, of course you were. And though there were many things his middle name was over the years, it never ever started with an M.

I love all of these little facts about them and how you were able to make them so individualized
I think in real life, someone like Jamie is elusive and boxed out from the world, and I would really be shocked seeing him with an Amy around campus
But if you have heard of the thing shipper, I am a total Amy and Jamie shipper – and yes – I havent read tap and gown yet – its kind of delayed from where I am.

I realize I’m 4.5 months late here, but I just reread Rites of Spring (Break) today (I was craving some angsty Poe action), and so I had to come check out his picture again… He’s very very nice to look at!
