Oh Noes - My 401K is falling! (required statement by a 35 year old male)

But besides that, I found the linked article to be more 'why aren't there more people like me, because I am only capable of reading about me'
I admit, as a parent, being disappointed in what passes for kids entertainment at times(Junie B. Jones), but then I think back and wonder what my parents thought about 'Creature Double Feature' on saturday mornings.

But that doesn't even seem to be the complaint. It seems like the complaint is along the lines of boys don't read books about girls or there should be more books about girls for girls to read and they shouldn't be reading books about boys. Or something like that.

I totally agree with the 'other-ness' of reading. I like SSG precisely for the fact that I have very little experience as a female ivy league college student(There was that one party at MIT, but I digress).

Eh, to each their own. I'm not sure that glorifying the wealthy, as I understand her claim, is any worse than farm boy is secretly heir to throne.
