First of all, congratulations to all the RWA Golden Heart and RITA finalists, especially my buddies:

Roxanne St. Claire for Now You Die (RITA, Romantic Suspense) — This is your year, chica!

Karen Rose for Scream for Me (RITA, Romantic Suspense) — Um, I mean, this is your year, chica! Hmmmm, conundrum…

Amanda Brice for Codename: Dancer (Golden Hearts, Young Adult) — Let’s make this the last year you’re eligible for unpublished awards, huh, sweets?

I was pleased to see so many great books on that list. Sadly, only one of the books I judged made it to the finals — which is weird, because I had a real bumper crop of books this year. The competition must have been fierce!

In other news, apparently this cover didn’t cut it. Neither did this one. So we’re going to try with this:

Yeah, I know, it’s a reprint. But my skills are not up to reproducing the original…

So I’m searching for this elusive SSG fanfic, and what do I find but a video interview by you, Diana! I didn’t know you were a romance book cover model! That’s awesome! Can you post some of those covers?

I really enjoyed that old-school romance cover, by the way.

Also, can someone point me in the right direction towards this SSG fanfic? Thanks.

Tiff, here’s the guide to my romance novel covers.

And you of all people have no need to read fanfic! the ARC is on its way to you!

That’s a little creepy. Having just finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth though, I’m not sure you can win in the zombie versus Unicorn debate (the unconsecrated gave me nightmares) But I’ll reserve judgment till August.

Wow, very racy! Those must have been so much fun to shoot!

Patrick, I agree with you. Your manliness on the cover of Carrie Ryan’s book would have made it that much better!

I’m just curious about the fanfic. I’m always curious to see what fanfic writers pick up on from “real” authors, and what makes it a successful/unsuccessful interpretation.

I don’t understand why I am not called for more cover photos…

Who brings what I bring? Fabio? Maybe he thinks so, but the images don’t lie.
