I have to admit, when I saw the title I was a little bit hesitant but the interview (which was great, by the way) changed my mind completely. I think it’s fantastic that someone’s decided to address the whole virginity issue in a way that’s not preachy (one way or another). I’m really interesting in reading this book now!

I can see where there could be more than a few comedic moments in this book, even while being completely serious. Sounds like it will be an interesting read.

It would be interesting, though, to see a book on the same subject from a guy’s point of view. Usually, any time you mention that a teenage guy is a virgin, he is almost always portrayed as being desparate to get laid. I want to see something other than that portrayal.

Wow. I really want this book. I’m a teen, and I think that it could be a really good and informative book for me and my friends. Also I think that it could answer any questions I may not feel comfortable asking my mom (even though she is very open with this topic).

Thanks for the great interview Diana. I was just doing a re-read of T&G and was thinking about the ways that Amy dealt with her sexuality throughout the series, and how her relationship with Jamie made her realize that it could mean something more to her than it had in the past.

I also applaud Serena for taking the perspective that you can’t divide teens into the “hook-ups” and the “abstinents”. Give teens good information about the physical and emotional ramifications and they can make good decisions for themselves.
